Closing out 2024

It's been a big year for me, but quiet on here...

This year I took a job at a large PC manufacturer in one of their software groups which is the main reason why I haven't been posting much at all. Working a full-time job again after contracting and working for myself for a few years was quite a big change, but I met some great people and I'm grateful to have found the work in a year where tech layoffs were so awful. Outside of work I made some new friends, and started playing Magic the Gathering in paper for the first time which I've really enjoyed. I also got to go and exhibit Scared Little Ghost at WASD in London, which was pretty much a dream opportunity.

My job came to an end in November, but next January I will be starting a contracting job for a very well known games studio in the UK - I am very excited to be back working in games full-time and I feel very lucky to have the opportunity again. I won't be posting anything about that but hopefully it'll be something I can share in the distant future.

I continue to work on my secret Playdate game (as you can see above) and would love to be able to post more about it in the coming months, but I will continue to make no promises. 😆

I have no real plans to share for 2025, just hoping it'll be a great new year. I hope you are all doing well and have a restful holiday season.
